I am just starting out in the realm of selling photos and would like to get more into "people pictures". I have shot a couple weddings for friends with my trusty assistant (she uses film). In an effort to build my portfolio, I am willing to do sessions for well below market value. In the past, I have charged a flat fee for the appearance at the wedding and provided CD's or DVD's of edited pictures and all rights to the photos to the client after the event. This means you can take the files to any photo printer and print up only the pictures you want, as well as being able to send your favorites to your family via electronic means with ease! This has worked extremely well in the past and I plan to keep this philosophy as I progress in my business.

Diamond Lake : Meant to head up to the 4th of July Mine, but took a wrong turn and ended up at Diamond Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness area. Worked out just fine, though. Days like this remind me why it is worth it to get up at 415 in the morning on my one day when I could have slept in.

Eugene Oregon : Overnight in Eugene, OR. I had never been to the PacNW, and this was a great intro to the area. It was a great day, not too humid, not too hot and the free bike rental from the Valley River Inn just sealed the deal. About a week later, I got an overnight in Medford, OR. That place was absolutely beautiful to see from the air on the approach during sunset. I'll be going back to Oregon for sure!

Oklahoma City Memorial : One of the perks of my job is going to visit cities that I might never have gotten around to otherwise. It's even better when the hotel we stay at is right up the street from interesting or historical places. I was lucky enough to be able to stop by the Oklahoma City Memorial during a layover in OKC with Comair. Weather was fantastic and the site is a very moving tribute to those who were killed without cause. Perhaps the most moving sight there was the small teddy bear placed next to Danielle Nicole Bell's chair in the memorial.

Adventures in Flying!! : Take five pilots, three aircraft, a lazy Saturday, and end up with a flight that everyone will remember for a lifetime! The day was perfect - clear and smooth as silk. The pilots (all but two) are Air Force trained in the art of formation flying (and yes, it's an art. I tried it for about two minutes and it's not easy at all). The planes, well, you couldn't have picked three more dissimmilar types. But that's what made it fun.
